Many Northern Chinese martial arts have hard 'whips' in their system. The 'whips' are hard metal rods the length of kali sticks, to be single or duo-wielded in pairs. They are heavy weapons made for breaking swords. Michelle Yeoh double-handed an extremely exaggerated large one in Crouching Tiger and Hidden Dragon against Ziyi Zhang.
