Why are boxers(especially professional boxers) bragging boxing could defeat military martial arts?

They keep saying this! They keep bragging that boxers are the best-conditioned fighters who are tougher than special forces soldiers! They even go up to the point that they say that boxing could easily defeat the Marine Corp. martial arts, the special forces army martial arts,Krav Maga, and Navy seals martial arts that a proffessional boxer could easily defeat a Marine well trained with the Marine martial arts, special forces soldiers well trained in martial arts, expert Kravists, anf Navy Seals well trained in Special forces Navy martial arts! They even keep saying that military people who are well-trained in these martial arts don`t have the physical-conditioning,toughness and ability to take hits(especially uppercuts),and proper tough fast training of a proffessional boxers! That`s retardate soldiers(Including Israeli ones who practice Krav Maga) have to be very tough physically and mentally!

Why are boxers(especially professional boxers) bragging boxing could defeat military martial arts?
SAYING IT is one thing DOING IT AND PROVING IT is a whole other story.

Let them banter and pat them selves on the back all they want, every one has a tendency to think their form of fighting is best but a true wise fighter knows differently.

Yes a Boxer could take a Military person, but a Military person can also take a Boxer!! Many people in the Military not only have the training they get in special forces but many are already former fighters before joining.

I once trained Marines before and just as anyone some were good and others needed a lot of work in fighting hand to hand.

Boxers tend to forget they are not trained to KILL as our Military is. They wear GLOVES with MUCH PADDING and have to follow a set of rules and guidelines and cannot hit or punch certain areas of the body limiting where you can hit.

I cannot imagine on average a boxer beating a trained MA in the Military or not if they are also in shape!! I have seen old men toss young boxers and MA fighters around expelling little energy at all to do it. THAT is the sign of a Master fighter.

They have A LOT of physical training EVERYDAY. More than the average boxer has. Only when they are training for a fight are they going maybe the same level of conditioning but typically our special forces train hard every day and I would place my money on a Seal or Delta Force or even Isreali Commandos against any boxer and I know I would win my bet probably 80 out of 100 times!!

So ignore them and let them brag to themselves, its just words. Until they prove IT, it is nothing but ranting and trying to get you riled up, just ignore them and tell them to prove it.

I personally have NEVER lost to a boxer! Far to predictable and they hold their hands too close to their faces forgetting they do not have those HUGE A@@ gloves to protect their faces and you can often make them hit themselves with their own fists which I love to do and find funny as heck.

Our special forces are trained to kill quick and silent, a boxer is not a trained killer they are trained professional pugilists. That is all, nothing wrong with it, they are still better fighters than the average person no doubt, but to say they are better than our special forces is truly laughable.
Reply:Because they're idiots.
Reply:I'l agree with Captain Ketchup......errrr King Mustard.
Reply:No. And, if you put a military martial artist in the ring, you'd find out why.
Reply:They are not enlightened yet.
Reply:Who are the they you keep talking about? The voices you hear at night?

before you rant i respect all Martial Arts, so it is not a style biase thing. I lol @ you and your kinigets.
Reply:Simply, the one's who say it either feel threatened or are that cocky.

Professional boxing is a great sport but has taken a nose dive (thanks Don King...) in the past decade and a half. The pros who make this claim are foolish because military martial arts DOES include boxing. It is a hybrid of boxing, grappling, conditioning, etc...The more you know and are well trained at the better. Look at MMA champions who have been dominant. Georges St Pierre for example, amazing conditioning, great stand up, great wrestling, and great bjj. His flaw is he is still a pup. When he lost to Matt Serra in his first title defense, I think it was a mixture of too much respect and his head not being clear (probably shook having a FIRST title defense...).

Sorry to stray away from the question, but again, boxers say things like this to try and hype up their sport and they feel threatened because their job is dying.
Reply:It takes a great deal of courage to step into a ring that is surrounded by a couple of hundred people or at times thousands and some times millions that are watching on TV. All to see you get the crap smacked out of you at times, could you step into that ring with all those people watching and let them see you get belted black and blue. I don't think that I could, could you?.

So to do that boxers and other professional fighters need great courage and be supremely confident in their skills and knowledge. Often at times this might come across as being very arrogant and cocky and to further the image that the fighters are trying to portray they will put down everything from Apple Pie to Zebra Crossings. This is just so that their opponent will give them more credit then is their due and also off balance their opponent as well. So the larger or more well known thing that the fighter puts down or mocks the better the public believe the fighter to be or so the fighter thinks often it does not work as well as he thinks.

Don't be concerned about what a loud mouth boxers says, more often then not the louder the fighter talks that worse he fights. It's the quite ones that you have to watch.
Reply:I like Wulf's answer. But it also depends on the experience of your opponent, whether or not you can be beaten, let alone touched.
Reply:If a spec ops trained personnel got in the ring and tried to box with a boxer he would likely get his head handed to him.If a boxer on a battlefeild tried to box with an enemy he would likely get shot stabbed head beat in with a rock or rifle but eyes gouged out etc etc etc .by guys who have little or no hand to hand skills at all but just want to stay alive another day.and that is the true criteria //survival

COMPARISONS ARE ODUROUS MADE BY THE ODIOUS or those that stink at it are quick to make comparisons.
Reply:because the military never upgraded their training

we all know that this krav magraw is all horse poop
