Reply:i'm not an expert on martial arts, but i do know that cross training would be awesome. you should be looking for, in this case, explosiveness with the feet and legs. i have a few things that might help.

as for the intervals, this will only increase your vo2 max, but still would be helpful. i recomend doing lots of short, explosive sprints without more that a 10 second break. find a track, and do lots of 100s and 50s. dont run longer than 400 meters, that is stamina training.

jump roping is a great way to produce the foot action you need. you ever done wall jumps? they will alos help. stand up near a wall, and find a brick above you on the wall that you can barely touch with your hand when you jump vertically. it should be fast and repetitive, keep your arms in the air and jump up and touch the brick.

i'm sure you have balance training, but if you can find a medicine ball, try to stand on the top of it with the left side of your left foot and right side of your right foot. you're kinda just cupping your feet. you need to grab onto something next to you first, or you'll fall and bust your ***. you should be able to balance without holding something after awhile.
Reply:There is a web site (google for "ross training") its geared up for interval conditioning for martial arts and combat athletes. I have bought a couple of books from him and they really are useful. *I am not affiliated in anyway to this site.
