Whats the best martial art to do to be really good at UFC?

ive already been doing taekwondo so i have some really good high kicks

and i have a pretty built upper body

i lift weights alot

so what other stuff should i do

im planning on doing boxing in a couple months

and some brazilian jiu jitsu

but what doe you think would be a better idea to train

Whats the best martial art to do to be really good at UFC?
theres no "best" art just better training methods. if you train realistically and hard you can win with any style(granted you are well rounded in striking and grappling)

however the most popular arts are

striking: boxing, muay thai, sanshou, %26lt;kyokushin%26gt; karate

takedowns/clinch-san shou, judo, wrestling, muay thai

ground fighting- brazilian jiujitsu, wrestling, sambo, kosen judo

now some of these styles overlap for instances judo has a lot of takedowns but also knows ground fighting, and brazilian jiujitsu focuses on ground fighting but knows some takedowns. however brazilian jiujitsu would be more specialized in ground fighting than judo and judo would be more specialized in takedowns than bjj

my person choice would be muay thai for striking, judo for takedowns, and bjj for ground if i wanted to be like everyone else....but to be a different i'd take san shou and sambo just for the heck of it.(sanshou has pretty good takedowns built into the striking)

by the way you mean be really good at mma. ufc is a company that holds mixed martial arts event, you dont become good at ufc you become good at mma.
Reply:now adays u cant know just one thing, u have to be good at everything. cardio cardio, cant stress that enough. all your training wont be worth crap if your too tired to use it. i would say wrestling, BJJ, muay thai kickboxing, etc, but with alot of those you cant just train in it for a week here and there has to be constant especially BJJ. good luck
Reply:Remember that UFC is a sport so you should train within the rules of the sport. For that reason you are best chosing arts that are designed for the ring, there is no point wasting your time learning fatal attacks or illegal strikes if they aren't allowed.

Most rules are geared heavily towards giving grappling a good advantage... I would look mostly into BJJ, Thai Boxing, Western Boxing, Judo and wrestling, these are all effective styles and teach legal techniques as they are all mainly focused on sport these days.

On top of this you will have to be in tip top shape physically and mentally. Your gym workouts and cardio training will probably take precedent of your fight training as you progress.
Reply:all these different styles of fighting are really just names for different sets of movements. the best way is to train for all.

if i had to choose and i had to choose the least as possible? i would choose these

people underestimate wrestling because you don't cause damage (unless you slam) but learning to move and knowing when to move are priceless. you can feel the difference as a fighter when you know your a good grappler

jui jitsu, how can you not have this, most fights are taken to the ground. learn this if anything.

muy thai. best style for the clinch, again, the fight will go to a clinch. the knee is an awesome weapon

striking/boxing. only experience can make you a great striker. its so complicated, few master the art. learn to add different kicks at different elevations too

see, even though i tried to limit the list, its still hefty and you gotta be good at everything. training your body to move and react naturally are the best things, that way your mind can concentrate on being a champion and your body will do the rest.
Reply:Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
