Back and Hip Pain ... Need relief?

I dont' have medical insurance and 10 years ago I was in a car accident that caused my right hip to be knocked out of line. I was told it was 95% healed, before I ran out of funds to pay for more treatment. I still deal with middle back pain, and right hip pain, all the time. I don't want to be on medication nor do I want surgery. Are there any other options that could help me? I am involved with athletic martial arts training and do not want the pain to make me stop training.

Back and Hip Pain ... Need relief?
You need to learn how to do exercises that target specific areas in your body.

Such as exercises for the hips.

I do a lot of work with the fitness ball because I have hip and back problems. It does help.
Reply:You are the best candidate for Chiropractic care. A good Chiropractor will help assess you condition and determine the cause of your pain now. You will see great results and don't be surprised. Depending on the extend of your personal injury you should be able to get significant relief and increased mobility from the care. Specially since you are active in martial arts its even more complementary to your physical activity. Good Luck.

Reply:I had a car accident last year and it caused nerve damage in my neck. The pain goes all the way down my left side. After months of doctor visits and medications, I finally gave in and tried and accupuncurist. I found a good one (that is the key) and he really helped. I am off all medications and it has been almost 4 months. I have had only 1 treatment, but that doesn't always happen. It doesn't hurt to try.
Reply:if it is "knocked out of line," then dislocation can cause pain, no one can fix that unless you go thru the surgery

your spine may be dislocated, or some spinal disc may be pushed out of place, and that may cause the back pain

those things can only be fixed by surgery, there is nothing a person can do unlike a muslce or tendon torn which may self heal over the time
Reply:A chiropractor is probably your best choice. Since most insurance companies still don't cover chiropractic care many will treat patients at a reduced rate based on income. Try to find one who uses a massage therapist also so you can benefit from both therapies at each visit. Also request some specific stretches to keep the area loose.
