Why s'pore teens don't really like martial art?
It's not a priority here in Singapore, simply because it is not well publicised, and teenagers in Singapore generally have too many options to select from when it comes to hobbies.

As for TV broadcasts and all, my impression is that the local regulations do not advocate too much violence (even though it is only sports). I do not mean martial arts imply violence, but many people do misunderstand and being Singapore where playing safe is the key, matches on martial arts would not be prevalent unless it really becomes the "in" thing, which in turn will not happen because as I said earlier, it is never a priority in our society.
Reply:You must be new here; don't know
Reply:i don't know. i do know that the Phillopines have amazing fighters. i love their style.
Reply:Thai kids fight because if you dont have a job, you fight or sell your body. simple. no welfare system.

singapore kids perhaps dont have the need to fight. though no welfare as such, their parents may be better off.
Reply:they probably came on here and seen some of the crap the alleged martial artist's write.that's not everyone but quite a few.
