Would I be allowed to purchase nunchaku abroad, and bring them back to the UK, in my suitcase?

They are for martial arts training purposes by the way.

No need mate you can buy them here at any good martial arts store (just show them your martial arts licence). I know 2 places in sunderland alone that sell weapons, I am sure most cities will have similar shops or try ebay!
Reply:If they are in your suitcase, most likely. Just don't bring them in carry-on, for obvious reason. xD
Reply:Definitely not in your carry on so put them in your checked baggage and I would also not have them fastened it will attract less interest and less chance of them being confiscated. I have heard that the UK is more stringent on martial arts weapons and them coming into the country.
Reply:Should be OK in your suitcase, but if you hold a martial arts "licence" from the Dojo where you train, take it with you.

Don't expect to walk through Passport Control or Customs "unaided" if you swagger through with them hanging round your neck like Steven Segal or Chuck Norris though!
