How would Kurt Angle do in Mixed Martial Arts???

He seems to have a very real, intense way about him. We all know that he is a world class grappler also. I heard Brock Lesner was an all american at U of Minn. But when he came to WWE he trained some with Angle and Angle threw him around like a rag doll....

How would Kurt Angle do in Mixed Martial Arts???
Kurt Angle could have done outstanding in mixed martial arts, but at a younger age. But honestly, Angle isn't necessarily in a business that is safer than MMA. In fact, pro-wrestling can be much more taxing, and much more dangerous. The big difference is that its pre-determined, and as an older gentleman, Angle doesn't have to rely so much on deadly fast reflexes like the conditioned MMA fighters do. So Angle probably wouldn't do to well in MMA at this point, but at a younger age, he would have easily been a world champion.

Kurt Angle is very real and intense, but alot of people underestimate the athleticism of professional wrestlers. Alot of the younger pro's are just as intense and athletic as Angle, and they also posess some strong amateur wrestling experience as well, although none of them have olympic gold medals.

I think Lesnar was a 2 time all american, actually.
Reply:I think he would do good
Reply:His manager Dave Hawk says he's to debut in mma sometime in 2007. Angle also talks about this in real fighter magazine.

but if i recall he said he's got some injuries that might not allow for it so.... i kinda doubt it will happen. if anything he'll proly jump in on some abu dahbi type sub wrestling joints before he does mma.
Reply:He'd get crushed. This is a guy who got punked out by Daniel Puder on Smackdown.
Reply:In his prime he may have done well. He has too many injuries to do well at it now. I hope he stays out of it before he ends up a cripple.
Reply:He'll be better than some give him credit for, but I don't see him contending for either a UFC or Pride title.
Reply:not that great if he doesnt have a standup game i know hes a great (real) wrestler winning a gold medal in the '96 olympics shortly after fracturing two of his cervical vertebrae, herniating two discs and pulling four muscles. hes kinda old (39) for him to start training to work on a standup game if he doesnt have one. also hes pretty short for his weight class 5'10 at 250lbs

now kurt angle in his prime training in a striking art and dropping weight to middleweight or light heavyweight i think he'd do pretty well out wrestle matt hughes in my opinion
Reply:pretty good i think he wrestles in japan cause dont see him anymore.
Reply:I think the UFC and Pride, might be to much for him. If he was going to try, and he should not, he should go to BODOG Fight, or some other newer brand. Wrestling has gotten so FAKE,not that hasn't always been FAKE, but , come on. If he for one second forgets he is in a real fight, and throws one of those open hand wrestling punches, he is done, he would be anyway, I mean....come on, he would be taken out on a stretcher. Thanks
Reply:Angle would probably do very well as a jujitsu player and as a Karate player. He is quick and very agile,so he would be good probably.
Reply:Not well. His standup is.... weak at best and most people at this level will take full advantage of that, staying off the ground and out of angles kitchen (ground fighting). With his neck hanging by a thread, he'd get seriously hurt in the attempt
Reply:He'd do well if he learned some striking.
Reply:You might be knowing that he got gold medal in olumpics because of his grapling skills.he is the only one can hope in mixed martial arts.He looks similar to wandy might be like him in his performance also.Put him up than all other wrestlers in wwe.
Reply:I believe he would do good in MMA, I'm just concerned with all his injuries.
