I am most likely going to start training this year. I already wrestle and that is one of the main styles. What Martial Art should I train in 1st?
What's the 1st Martial Art that I should train in?
If you're already wrestling, I would suggest a submission style to compliment that; Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Sambo, Catch wrestling...
Of course, there's no reason to only learn a single style at once, there's plenty of mixed martial arts schools these days were you could train Brazilian Jiu-Jistsu and Muay Thai (as well as Judo or Boxing or some other style depending on the school) all at the same time.
Reply:i like karate and juditsu personally....i took karate for seven years and juditsu for 4
Reply:I think that would depend on what your goal is for learning a martial art. Each one has its own merits and each works for different body types. I would suggest you visit different schools and see how each appeals to you and your goal. You say,"which one first", you should consider finding the one which you like the best and stick with it. It takes a long time to really get good at any particular martial art, and attempting to do one for a year or so then another for another year or so and then another, will not make you any better. It is better to concentrate on really learning one style or even two.
Reply:internal.. use the 4ce especially Grace, mercy,And remembr the wurd ARt
Reply:Kempo,(Kenpo) or American Karate would mix well with Wrestling.
Others will also, see what schools are in your area and choose one thats works their students out hard.
At a good school students are soaked in sweat and promotions are tough to get.
Reply:for striking: muay thai, boxing, san shou, kyokushin and shidokan karate.
for grappling: judo, brazilian jiu jitsu, wrestling, sambo
good luck!
Reply:If you're already wrestling, why not try a traditional Karate. This will improve your striking, while the wrestling will keep up your ground game.
