Learning Martial Arts?

I know it's possible. However how can I find someone (for the Georgia area) that would act as an in-home martial arts trainer. basically you pay them and they make meetings to come to your house and train you in the martial arts and charge you per visit, per hour, per session or something.

I want to learn the martial arts and definitely don't mind spending the money to learn. But it would be so much cooler to have someone come out to your house and teach you (even if it cost's considerably more than visiting a dojo regularly). that hands on, one on one training will help me alot and allow me to learn without being around a lot of people. I live in the georgia area and if you know of someone specific or a specific service that does it I would greatly appreciate it.

Learning Martial Arts?
Watch out for this scam dojo owners!

There is a scam where someone will pay you "tuition" in advance, and they will intentionally send you more money than was necessary.

They will tell you "ooops" and to go ahead and deposit their check, and then write a check of your own to pay them back the difference.

The first check they sent you is a bad check, then they cash your check and become untraceable and you end up screwed.

I read about this in a martial arts magazine.

Reply:interesting.
Reply:Why don't you just go get privates at the dojo? I know for a fact that several trainers do that.

Aside from that- call and ask.
Reply:oh pfft, don't be lazy, get out of the house and go to a club. People don't become martial arts instructors just so they can go to peoples houses and teach it to them.
Reply:i have taught alot of karate. and my advice to you would be taking classes as well as private lessons. because i would learn the basics before taking private lessons just because there isnt much to do when you dont even know stances.

one more thing. with the in home thing, make sure you have a large space and maybe some equipment, or the lessons might get boring. i tend to break things up into drills, kata, and workout.
Reply:Please try Dekiti Tirsia Siradas.
Reply:You know what would be way cooler?

If you travel to the country/mountain side and find a martial arts grandmaster and you lvie with them for a few years and come back a whole new better man.

That would be awesome!!!!!

But aside from that, I dont think most people would go to your home to train with you. You could get private one on one lessons though, but not from your house.
