Help losing weight + Muscle Training?

It feels like I am not improving. I have been going to the gym twice a week. Swimming for 10 - 20 minutes. Matrial arts for 45 minutes. This is my schedule and I have been keeping it since summer started. Tuesday and Thursday - Martial Arts, Gym, swimming. Wednsday - Martial arts. At the gym, I have been working on benching and some art workouts.

You can keep doing what your doing, but in order for you to lose weight you have to eat right. To burn a pound of fat you have to burn 3500 calories. Not all in one day of course. Just do things to get your heart pumping. That is how you burn calories, and remember eat right and drink a lot of water. Its normal to go to the restroom 2-4 times an hour when getting plenty of water.
Reply:Sounds like you need to kick it up a notch. For the weight training, do some strength training, such as pyramid sets, where you increase the weight amount as you lift and do reps. You then go back down to your starting lifting weight. Also, some walking or jogging or cycling if you can manage. Swimming is excellent; possibly the best, but if you are still struggling, add a bit more exercises that will get your heart pumping and lungs expanding for better oxygen delivery to the muscles. Look at your diet. Cut out sugar, sodium, fat, etc. Cut out any soda pop. It is hard to give you any specific advice, ask others at the gym for added info. Good luck.
