I would like to visit Philippines for 2 reasons : Tourism and intensive Kali training. Can you give me advice?

I know it's a beautiful country,and I want to discover it and enjoy holidays there.


But I am also very interested in learning Kali martial art, because some people told me that it's the best martial art in the world ( even better than brazilian ju-jitsu and israeli kravmaga ).


Are there some Kali trainings orgnaized for people visiting Philippines?





I would like to share my vacation, for exemple 2 weeks, between one week for tourism ( beach,visiting,etc) and one week for just Kali training.





Can you give me some good infos?

if you want kali (known also as: walis, eskrima, arnis) training, then you need to go to cebu. that is where the different styles are being taught by the grand masters.





i'm not sure if there are organized trainings... but you might want to contact the schools before you leave for the philippines. a simple google or yahoo search will give you information.

i don't know which country you come from... but you might also want to check whether there's an arnis club there. for sure, these people have contacts with groups in cebu that might help you establish contacts on your own as well. or, there might be some tournament in cebu that they are going as a group to compete. you could go with them.





there are also a lot of arnis enthusiast in youtube.com. you probably might want to get hold of them and ask them. a lot of them go to the philippines to get further training from the grandmasters themselves. they might be able to help you with that.





one week for arnis training is not enough. that's why your best bet is to get in touch with an arnis club in your country to help you with your interest.





as for tourism... cebu is a great place for that as well.

Reply:Kali training centers in Cebu, the world renowned arnis with a stick is with the Cacoy Canete Doce Paris Club at C.Padilla Street, Cebu City. Just surf www.Cacoy Canete doce pares club and you will learn how to register. There are many other Karate clubs but this doesn't use a stick. If you are in Cebu City, just request a taxi driver to bring you to Cacoy Canete's Doce Paris Club at C. Padilla Street.

We hold kali training and with tourism. Grandmaster Jerson Tortal Jr .of Dekiti Tirsia Siradas Kali can train you for a couple of weeks follow by R%26amp;R with visit to historical place and relaxation in beaches.
