Samurai lessons around Bay Area, CA?

Where can I learn samurai skills like fencing, mental training, AND martial arts around cupertino %26amp; sunnyvale, California?

Samurai lessons around Bay Area, CA?
For sword work see if there is an iaido or kenjutsu school near you (not kendo).

The actual samurai martial arts are pretty well all gone, I don't think there's anyone in the US who teaches traditional koryu.

Mental training, the samurai didn't need mental training, they had zen buddhism, shintoism, and martial arts training.
Reply:First of all, asking for "fencing AND martial arts" is fairly redundant. ;) Styles of Japanese swordsmanship are a martial art in and of themselves.

Secondly, I'm not sure precisely what you mean by mental training, other than a warrior mindset that develops naturally from the intense and dedicated study to the warrior arts of any nationality.

Third, I'm afraid I'm not familiar enough with the Cupertino or Sunnyvale areas to give you a recommendation there, but I know of two places that teach traditional samurai arts and offshoots in the Bay Area. One is the Suigetsukan dojo in Oakland, where I study Toyama Ryu Battodo. They also teach Danzan-Ryu Jiu-jutsu and Aikido for fees on a sliding scale. They're a non-profit organization, so they just ask that you pay whatever you can afford and that you shouldn't stop training just because you're short. That's why I love going there; they obviously teach for the sake of teaching, rather than for profit.

The other place, which I'm afraid I haven't attended personally, is called the Yachigusa-Ryu Aiki Bugei Dojo in San Francisco. They teach a thorough curriculum of jiu-jutsu, kenjutsu, sojutsu--spear arts--and aikijutsu. They also teach some other weapons such as jutte or naginata.

If you're able to make a small commute, either of these places would be well worth it. I'm afraid I don't know of any others right now.
