Ok I work out 6 days a week and run 5 days a week. I also train in martial arts. I'm a traditional martial artist, but my partner wanted to try to dip and dab in MMA. So we train in grappling as well. About a week ago we were training and I slightly twisted my left knee, we took a break and the pain went away in like 2 minutes and we continued. the next day it was sore but went back to normal in 2 days.. I run 1.5 miles a day, But one day I ran 2.5 and since then my knee has hurt, just a dull uncomfortable feeling under the knee cap. I went to the doctor and she gave me Meloxicam.. and told me to stay off it. It's getting better now, but yesterday i was traing in grappling again and twisted my right knee, not much just a little, there in no swelling, no feeling of being unstable or failure, and some soreness in the knee. I have full range of motion and can squat and walk fine. it wasn't a bad twist the shape pain lasted like 2 minutes. Could this be serious, are will it go away? Help
I have slight knee pain?
Well, that's kind of something you have to ask your doctor about. If the pain was sharp, I would be a bit more concerned, but if it went away you never know. Have you tried ice? I swear by that stuff. Advil supposedly helps reduce swelling as well. I'd try those in combination with staying off it for a bit and see if that helps. There's no sense in causing permanent damage to yourself so better safe than sorry.
